Matte Love

I've been dying to try a matte top coat, and tonight over delicious Margaritas, lo and behold, a friend had Essie "Matte About You" in her purse. I see why we are friends, Katie.

Why not paint your nails at the Mexican restaurant?

I already had on my coveted (read:only) Deborah Lippmann polish. Some googling tells me the color is "Wicked Game" (more on that below). A fun purple/grey/green from the Vinyl collection sold at Bath & Body Works a few years back. I don't use it often, but when I do... it's awesome. I was feeling it with the dreary, cold weather we've had in Georgia lately.

The results? Pure awesome.

What is UP with my extra short pinky? But check out that duochrome delicousness!

Verdict: Nailed it!

Hard to go wrong with this one. I'll be purchasing my own bottle as soon as I get a paycheck...oh, wait.

Also? I had NO clue the Vinyl line was a nod to Deborah Lippmann's foray into the world of music. I know what me and my Spotify will be doing tomorrow afternoon to fill the time...since I won't be repainting these nails until I'm done admiring the matte beauty!
